Thiz Iz Bananaz

Well Im all for hot new things so i must talk about a new blog.

Blankets

Blankets it's a graphic and autobiographic novel written and ilustrated by Craig Thompson. It gives us the feeling of warmness and pure hearted feelings. I rad that he wante to express the feeling of sleeping with other person for the first time.
It's a very cool, soft and lovely story.
Recommended!

100 Bullets

Since i was a kid i started to be addicted to Comics. Spent a lot of my childhood readi'n x-men,spawn,mikey mouse, the darkness etc.
I found here in Vienna this graphic novel called 100 Bullets. It took me just the first page to get me into the hole collection. With brilliant dialogues, all in the good american slang, amazing characters and a crazy story. It's the shit!
I would describe it as "Vendetta Time!"


What would you do if a stranger offered you the chance to get away with murder...would you take it ?

X-Acto it's one of the most important bands in the portuguese hardcore scene.They started out in 91 to become the most aclaimed portuguese XvX band. They we're the fathers of the SxE movemment and xVx in Portugal. They played a tipical Hardcore/punk but the most important was they're message. Direct,honest and open minded. They talked about such themes as the hc scene, veganism, animal liberation, sxe and more.

Calma it's a Brazilian street artist. Hiss original name is Stephan Doitschinoff. His art reflects folcloric culture from Brazil. Religion,Supertition, Death,Criticism etc.

Vultures - Ignorance Prevails

This videoclip was made by a friend called Fábio Gonçalves.
He made this clip for a high school class. The video it's related with the main theme of the work that was "Hardcore and Animal Rights".
The song is called "ignorance prevails" and the band "Vultures".
As you could notice the song talks about the problem of animal cruelty by the food (agropecuary)industry.
This video speaks for himself, and it can be quite strong.

I would like to say that sometimes i will post some c.d's that you can find in the internet.
But don't go by the easy way and just download them, buy the c.d's too. Support the bands and support the scene, even if that costs you money. Remember that someone had to pay too to have the c.d out.

With the appearance of a band from my country Reaching Hand I started to give more attention to the female-fronted hardcore bands. I think instead of giving softness to a band, they improve the settlement of the ideas/message and the the power of the band.

Punch comes from San Francisco, California. They play an extremly fast-furious-loud-angry hardcore/punk. With strong lyrics they sure are a Hot band.
